![]() Maybe it's my lighter usage or being on Windows 10 or some other reason - but I would not suggest you would need to be cautious about using it. I too have read a lot about K7 being unstable - but I have not experienced that yet. None of this applies to using K6.71 in standalone mode (by dragging it into S1 as a VST) - but that method removes all the goodness of using Komplete Kontrol. My issues are its usefulness (since it brings almost NOTHING to the table in the way of actual new function) and of course the aforementioned hard transition away from K6 to K7 whether you like it or not if you are a Komplete Kontrol user. There have been a few updates to K7 in the last few months and as far as I can see - it's totally usable. ![]() ![]() I have since upgraded to Komplete 14 ULT and now have K7 Full in use. So one minute I was happily rolling along with K 6.71 (which was MASSIVELY stable) and then suddenly that all went away as all I saw was Kontakt 7 Player within the screens of my S61 MK2 keyboard. I was not happy about this since within Komplete Kontrol - Native Instruments truly have no sense of what users want - since Komplete Kontrol only "sees" one version of Kontakt period. This would have been about 3 weeks after K7 dropped (like mid Oct 2022). That said - as of a few months back I was a Komplete 13 ULT user and K7 Player was forced into my install when I installed some specific piece of Komplete 13 that was not on the DAW. I am a dedicated Komplete Kontrol user within S1 and consider myself "invested" within the Kontakt framework - but I do not use 85 instances of it per song like some do. Are we talking about issues with Mac M1 processors? Win11? Without going on and on, what I'm trying to figure out is: is there any reason for me to stick with Kontakt Player V6 Player on S1 if I'm on Win10 (which I am)? Or just go ahead and immerse myself in V7? Thanks for any insight. MisterE wroteI see there's some general internet unease about Kontakt Player V7. ![]()
